The Suffolk Villages Festival, Friday 23rd. - Monday 26th. August 2024

This long-running festival of early music in south Suffolk continues in August with a weekend of concerts, talks and exhibitions. Extending over some of the more beautiful parts of southern Suffolk, the main performances are as follows:

 

- Friday 23rd, August, 7.30pm, St Mary's church in Hadleigh:

Spanish Baroque Masterpieces 

- Saturday 24th. August, 7.30pm, Sudbury Arts Cetre, St Peter's church, Sudbury:

Music by the Bach family for harpsichord or fortepiano and orchestra:

- Sunday 25th. August, 7pm, St Mary's church in Sudbury:

The Gesualdo Six sing English Renaissance Masterpieces

- Monday 26th. August, 7pm, St Mary's church in Stoke by Nayland:

Henry Purcell: The Indian Queen
